【Vietnam Culture Sharing in Jieshou Junior High School】

2024-03-01

Many thanks to the ICDF and Jieshou Junior High School for the invitation. This time, in addition to our Latin American friends, we also had students from Southeast Asia - Trần Ngọc Xuân from Vietnam, who took us on a journey from the north to the south of this elongated country. One of the highlights was when Xuân dressed in traditional Vietnamese attire called 'Ao dai,' showcasing the unique charm and elegance typical of the southern region, often worn on more formal occasions. Despite being in Asia, Vietnamese delicacies like pho, spring rolls, and French baguettes are commonly found in Taiwan, creating a strong sense of resonance among the students.

During conversations with the junior high students, what struck us the most was the enthusiasm of an eighth-grader, Lillian who eagerly interviewed Xuân about Vietnam's most popular sports, revealing that Vietnam is also crazy about football! Meanwhile, she shared that badminton, table tennis, taekwondo, and baseball are thriving in Taiwan.
